LeanFlow - logistics & material handling
LeanFlow offers, in addition to general support in the domain of production improvement, a modular tube construction system for Lean Manufacturing solutions in the field of workplace design, material storage, internal logistics & karakuri. The system consists of pipes, joints, roller conveyors, wheels and accessories. With a limited number of components you can quickly and easily build stable constructions tailored to the activities within your company.
However, we want to go one step further with "karakuri kaizen": carts, racks, conveyors, etc. with which material is handled on the basis of gravity, levers, cams and inertia. This is to move boxes, move parts between machines or deliver a controlled number of small parts to the hands of an operator.
The result is a well-thought flow through your processes, with which your objectives in terms of safety, quality, lead-time, productivity but on top also the morale of your employees evolve in the positive direction.
Watch the videos now and find out what LeanFlow can mean for your company.
Karakuri is written in Japanese most commonly as からくり. It basically means some mechanical trickery.
It originated with mechanical dolls in Japan These dolls can be seen as the precursor to robots.
Toyota introduced the karakuri philosphy as part of the Toyota Production System. Carts, racks, roller conveyors, etc. with which material is handled on the basis of gravity, levers, cams and inertia. This to move boxes and parts between machines or deliver a controlled number of small parts to the hands of an operator.
Industry 4.0 is currently all the rage. Yet, karakuri kaizen with its focus on mechanical solutions is pretty much the opposite! And that makes it better in many situations with the following advantages:
- Easier to maintain
- Easier to improve
